Ditech Financial at Discovery Business Campus
October 25, 2016
It seemed appropriate to rename the old Motorola Semiconductor Campus to Discovery Business Campus. Discovery has been just that – a discovery of the potential of the 136 acre property. The revitalized campus was purchased in June 2011 by Wentworth Property Company and Northwood Investors with the hope of transforming the Loop 101 campus into a bustling business park. Wentworth converted the single-tenant 820,000 SF campus into a 1.9M SF mixed-use, multi-tenant business park featuring the revitalization of three buildings, two new build-to-suit structures, retail space, and two four-story hotels. Discovery Business Park was recognized as NAIOP’s 2015 Mixed-Use Project of the Year.
Ditech Financial (ditech) is the newest company to call Discovery Business Campus home. Prior to relocating to Discovery, ditech operated from three separate buildings throughout Tempe for over 10 years. During that time Jokake Construction built a lasting relationship with the company and became the general contractor for their new office at Discovery. The 171,000 SF project included substantial site renovations including underground retention and new parking lot, as well as significant shell improvements including the new building facade and monument entrance. Ditech began operations from their new office in September 2016.
