Jokake celebrates three years of volunteerism with Family Promise of Greater Phoenix

February 27, 2016

Jokake Construction is collecting items to donate to program participants at Family Promise of Great Phoenix.

Family Promise rescues primarily first time homeless families from the streets and provides emergency shelter and basic needs in a sixty day program designed to assist their return to self-sufficiency. The shelter includes a sanctuary for the family pet, the first such program in Arizona.

This contribution marks the most recent initiative from Jokake’s team members over the last three years including:

  • The first collection drive in 2013
  • Sourcing and installing new cabinets and millwork in the administrative offices
  • New flooring for residence suites
  • Quarterly interview skills training and Personal Financial Literacy classes
  • Partnership with Arizona Builder Alliance’s Leadership Development Forum 2015 Community Service project
