The
Stockyards - Jokake Companies Headquarters
Phoenix, AZ
The preservation and rebirth of this Arizona landmark was
the goal for the Smith brothers when they purchased the
site in July of 2003. The entire project was designed
to incorporate the restaurant and original office building. This renovation served to preserve and maintain the
architecture and character of the building while adding
the necessary modern conveniences of today. In addition
the project features +/- 99,000 square feet of office and
industrial space. Careful planning went into designing
a project that created a sense of community for its users.
Pedestrian walkways, courtyards with café-style seating,
recreation areas with horseshoe pits and bocce courts are
framed by four buildings. Jokake broke ground in November
2003 on two office buildings that range in size from 8,000
to 33,500 square feet and a 40,000 square foot industrial
building that includes several industrial condominiums.
When the project was completed in January of 2005, Jokake
Companies relocated their offices from Camelback Road to
17,000 square feet of space within the project. The
Stockyards unique character has been key in attracting users
who want to be a part of this historical project.
The properties location has been a bonus. Nearly every
freeway passes by the project, making for easy access for
employees and users traveling from all parts of the Valley.
