Banner Good Samaritan Hospital Simulation Lab
Project Services
The first of its kind in the valley, the Simulation Lab is an education and training center utilized for hands-on training of nurses, residents and physicians. Equipment used for training includes computerized mannequins, simulated Operating Room, virtual reality simulators for interventional cardiology procedures, full telemedicine capabilities and computer lab. Located in the West Tower of the campus, this renovation included replacing and upgrading existing mechanical systems as well as replacement of major mechanical system tie-in points. The electrical distribution through the majority of the first floor was reconfigured to accommodate the new department. Scope also included addition of medical surgical beds in the Emergency Department patient holding, ICU, OR and 4-bed observation unit as well as conference and administrative space.
