The key to successful phasing plans is listening to our clients needs and developing an understanding of how their facility works, what their priorities are, and what functions absolutely cannot be disturbed. When Scottsdale Healthcare needed to renovate and upgrade their Operation and Surgery center within their Osborn hospital, they turned to Jokake.
The challenge — at no time could they takedown more than one OR at a time. Jokake needed to develop a plan to phase the project to avoid disruption and constantly maintain Infection Control procedures while upgrading each of their eight operating rooms and the surrounding clinical corridors and staff preparation areas. Our initial estimates were for a 21-day turn around period per phase,but when we listened to SHC, we realized they could only allow for a nine-day turnaround period for each OR.
We created an aggressive, comprehensive phasing plan that accomplished this goal while ensuring safe and timely service delivery without interrupting the daily operations of the hospital and staff.
